As a Yes Graduate Production Trainee, you'll play a pivotal role in revolutionizing the automotive industry. Located in FCM Port Elizabeth, this 12-month contract offers invaluable experience in managing production performance, personnel issues, and ensuring Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards are met.
**Main Purpose of the Position:**
As a Yes Graduate, you'll spearhead Quality Cost & Delivery (QCD) performance within Autonomous Production Groups (GAP). Your key responsibilities include:
- Leading QCD initiatives, setting targets, implementing plans, and ensuring daily results align with objectives.
- Driving improvement actions by fostering transparent communication, collaborating with key stakeholders, and devising precise action plans.
- Managing team performance through proactive problem-solving, fostering teamwork, and conducting quality improvement workshops.
- Addressing personnel issues by ensuring adequate staffing, integrating new team members, and facilitating individual development plans.
- Upholding Group HSE standards by identifying safety risks, driving continuous improvement in working conditions, and ergonomics.
**Qualifications & Experience:**
- A 3-year National Diploma or B-Tech in Production Management or Industrial Engineering.
- Intermediate computer literacy.
- Proficiency in Work study principles and Work measurement tools.
- Analytical skills with a detail-oriented and structured approach.
- Dynamic, proactive behavior with a track record of achieving 70% overall in academic results.
- Previous registration with the Y.E.S Youth Program and compliance with YES regulations.
