What is the Range of awards?
All of This scholarship augments gift aid from all sources to cover the full tuition cost each year (fees not included) for courses taken as a traditional undergraduate student at Fordham. The scholarship will be adjusted for only one-half of other non-tuition-specific outside resources or scholarships. The remaining half may be used for additional educational expenses.
The awards also cover the average cost of a double room or actual charges, whichever is less (excluding meal plans and fees), if the student lives on campus.
1# Maurice J. and Carolyn Dursi Cunniffe Presidential Scholarship
The Presidential Scholarship is awarded to the top 20 (will soon be 15) admitted students each year. This scholarship is given to first-year, traditional students. In order to be eligible, one has to rank in the top 1 – 2% when they were in high school (class rank matters!)
The scholarship is awarded on the basis of excellent academic achievement in high school, test scores (if submitted), and personal characteristics.
Renewal process
- Students must be in good academic standing
- with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- They must also be a full-time student
- and follow the rules set out by the university.
2# Excellence in Theatre Scholarship

3# Excellence in Theatre Scholarship
Fordham Scholars are conferred upon students with extraordinary academic achievements, who after being carefully reviewed through the holistic admission process and deemed to be among the top 3% of applicants, have also achieved one of the following designations: National Merit Semifinalist, National Hispanic Scholar or National African American Recognition Program Scholar defined by the holistic admission review process.

4# Dean’s Scholarship
The Dean’s Scholarship is a merit award given to incoming students for excelling in their academics at their respective schools. Only ten percent of admitted applicants get this honor, so you should feel proud of yourself if you ever receive this scholarship because it means that your academic performance is on an exceptional level.
