As a Loss Prevention Intern at Publix, you will play a crucial role in analyzing data from various sources to identify and predict potential targets for loss prevention efforts. Additionally, you will provide essential administrative support to the Security Solutions team.

Responsibilities

1. Research, document, and analyze department reports (created in-house via Access, Excel, and MicroStrategy) to identify replication, deficits, and outdated output.
2. Summarize results and communicate findings to the team and management.
3. Determine and recommend consolidation solutions for enhanced efficiency.
4. Utilize Loss Prevention’s EBR system to identify exceptions and address data deficits.

Required Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business, Criminology, or another analytical field and be a current freshman or above (rising sophomore or above as of the program start in Summer 2024).
• Basic knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to review and analyze trends within a dataset.
• High level of maturity, discretion, tact, and judgment, with the ability to handle confidential information.
• Ability to multitask.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detailed orientation with strong organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of SharePoint and experience querying data.
• Familiarity with SQL, PowerBi, or Data Search Engine.
• Understanding of coding.
• Knowledge of Data Search Engine.
