1. HKSAR Government Scholarship Fund

2. Hong Kong Ph.D. Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS)
The Hong Kong Ph.D. Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS) offers a unique opportunity to pursue a doctoral degree in any field of study in Hong Kong. Eligible applicants are who are citizens or permanent residents of Hong Kong and have a Master’s degree or higher from a recognized university. Candidates must have an excellent academic record and be able to demonstrate financial need. The HKPFS provides a stipend of HKD$50,000 per year for the duration of the doctoral program, which is renewable for two additional terms. Eligibility
Candidates who are seeking admission as new full-time Ph.D. students in the following eight universities, irrespective of their country of origin, prior work experience, and ethnic background, should be eligible to apply.

3. City University of Hong Kong
City University of Hong Kong ( CUHK ) is a public university in Hong Kong. Established in 1890, City University is the oldest and largest university in Hong Kong. CUHK offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in more than 100 fields of study. In addition to its main campuses in Wan Chai and Kowloon Tong, CUHK has a satellite campus in Shenzhen.
Entrance Scholarship Scheme
CityU has an Entrance Scholarship Scheme for international students with excellent academic performance who are admitted to full-time government-funded bachelor’s degree programs.
The Scheme offers three kinds of scholarships
- Top Scholarships of HK$180,000 (approximately US$23,000), covering annual tuition fees, on-campus accommodation, and living expenses
- Full Tuition Scholarships, covering annual tuition fees (approximately US$18,000)
- Half Tuition Scholarships, covering half of the annual tuition fees (approximately US$9,000).
Applicants do not have to apply for these scholarships. The appropriate level of scholarship is awarded based on merit. Beginning from the 2022-23 academic year, students who receive the scholarship are required to attain a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.4 or above each year throughout their period of study in order to renew the scholarship.
HKSAR Government Scholarship Fund
The Fund supports outstanding non-local students to pursue undergraduate studies in Hong Kong, with targeted scholarships made available to first-year full-time students from countries/regions along the Belt and Road, such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Myanmar. Learn more.
Outstanding Athletes Entrance Scholarship for Non-Local Students
CityU’s Student Development Services (SDS) is proud to offer the Student-Athletes Admission Scheme (SAAS) to non-local student-athletes. The aim of the scheme is to provide opportunities for outstanding student-athletes to study at CityU. Since the introduction of the scheme in 1997, more than 1,000 students with high sports performance standards have been admitted to the university’s degree programs.
Through the provisions of scholarships, we hope to attract high-performing international athletes to CityU and further enhance the performance of our sports teams.

4. Hong Kong Baptist University
Hong Kong Baptist University Scholarship is open for students worldwide who are enrolled in a full-time undergraduate course in any subject offered by the university, and who have excellent academic records. The scholarship offers a higher education fee waiver and a monthly allowance of $1,000. The objective of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to outstanding students whose potential contribution to Hong Kong Baptist University would be invaluable. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic merit and financial need.

6.Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK)

7. Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST)
Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) offers scholarships to international students who are interested in pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate degrees in various fields of study. With the exception of the MD/MS degree in Oncology, all other undergraduates and postgraduate programs at HKUST are offered in English. Applicants must take the Hong Kong University admission test (HKUAT), which assesses academic achievement and English language proficiency.
